On Saturday, March 29, former Chino Hills High School standout Kayla Chavez’s current college team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, lost 14-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Northwestern Wildcats.

The game took place at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Wildcats this season.

The Golden Gophers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 12 p.m. at Bittinger Stadium against Purdue Boilermakers.
