On Wednesday, April 9, former Ruben S. Ayala High School standout Mateo Matthews’ current college team, the Wagner Seahawks, won 9-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Iona Gaels.

The game took place at City Park Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Gaels this season.

The Seahawks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m. at Yogi Berra Stadium against NJIT Highlanders.
