On Saturday, April 5, former Chino Hills High School standout Kayla Chavez’s current college team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, won 11-8 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Purdue Boilermakers.
The game took place at Bittinger Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Boilermakers this season.
The Golden Gophers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 5 p.m. at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium against Oregon Ducks.
