7.4% of citizens unemployed in San Bernardino County in 2021

San Bernardino County recorded an unemployment rate of 7.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 75,447 people out of the 2,171,071 living in San Bernardino County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in San Bernardino County has increased compared to the 7.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in San Bernardino County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.5%.

Of the 947,721 people who had a job during that time, 12,889 were employed in the Armed Forces and 934,832 belonged to the civilian labor force.
