On Saturday, March 14, at 2:30 p.m., former Chaffey High School standout Carlos Rodarte and his college team, the Whittier Poets, were defeated 9-0 by the Chapman Panthers in an NCAA Division III baseball contest.
Hugh B. Mendez Stadium hosted the game, marking the third meeting of the season between these teams. In their earlier game on Saturday, March 14, the Poets earned a 3-2 victory over the Panthers.
Rodarte pitched 2.1 innings, surrendering one earned run and tallying one strikeout.
The Poets are set to play again Sunday, March 15, at 12 p.m. at Hugh B. Mendez Stadium against the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks.
